We had Cooper's party at a neighbor's pool. This is Lucky the Pirate. He stood out by the driveway so everyone would know where to come.
Check out this AWESOME cake!!!! That pirate ship on top......it's CAKE too! The island part is raised up and the blue icing was done to look like waves. Click on the pic to get a closer view. This lady in Ruston makes our cakes. Isn't she great!?
This was the pinata. I had it sitting next to the cake on the table for decoration until time to bust it open!

Happy Birthday! Our little tradition is to have a doughnut with a candle on one's b-day. the crown came from school. The teacher celebrated all the summer b-days on one of the last days and made crowns....
He woke up, put on his crown and waltzed into the living room, very proud that he was FINALLY six years old.
On Thursday I loaded up the kids and took them to Monroe. Another traditon is that when we take the kids to Monroe, we ALWAYS eat at IHOP. So in honor of the birthday boy, we went to IHOP and then to the JUNGLE GYM. A place that has indoor jumpy things and slides and ball pit, etc. By the time we left, I think every person that we came into contact knew this little boy was turning 6 the next day.

Mama and Daddy came on Friday to be here for his party the next day....
This pic is when we gave Cooper his bike from Jamie and me. He was excited!

Go Deigo Go! Cooper loved Deigo at this point and it seemed a natural choice when party time rolled near. The only problem: Deigo had only been showing on tv for about 6 months and there was NO commercial merchandise (ie party supplies) with this theme.....so I had to get creative, VERY CREATIVE! Thanks to Oriental Trading (every teacher's best friend) it all came together farily well. Check out the palm leaf and vine in the backgound...green posterboard and grocery sacks! I had them all over the patio to give it a jungle feel.

Birthday #3....this kid loved (and still does) JOHN DEERE!
There is a police officer in town who collects antique tractors...I called and asked if we could use his John Deere tractor for the party....

Nothing like a little organized chaos....look at Big D..looks like he's thinking.."Lemme at this..HA! Jackpot!" He was about 10 months old.
