The Go-Rilla. He was quite the showman. He sat and stared at us for a while swinging his toy. Then he started to walk back to sit under the rocks. While he was sitting there staring, he stared to beat on his chest and the next
thing we knew, he ran toward us and charged the plexiglass window.

After hitting the window he would slide across the concrete and come to a stop. His breath would then fog up on the window. He would pace back and forth for a bit then go sit back down and it would start all over again.

"The hills are alive....." does anyone get that movie reference? Seeing this ram on these rocks makes me think of that. This pic doesn't really show it, but that was a huge wall of rocks that went straight up.

I mean really, have you ever seen anything quite as lazy? Must be nice....

Next, off to the Fort Worth Zoo.
We really like going to zoos at our house.
A LOT.

Cheetah

Mama and her cubs

Lazy, good-for-nothings
Kangaroos, actually.

Here's another elk type, deer type maybe. I don't know. But, he really liked Jamie.

The first cautious little nibble....

So, you are aware that Jamie is quite silly at times. He thought it would be silly to get a pic of him trying to get a smooch from the elk/deer...well...I was unable to snap the shot that sould have come after this one b/c I was laughing too hard. Right after "Clancy" took the bite of food he reached over and....well, I'll just say Jamie got more than he bargained for....lol lol. It really was funny, gross, but funny.

Here we are at the Overlook Cafe. It's at the halfway point in the tour. Terrible food, great view.

Our next encounter was with a giraffe. Now the one you see in the picture did not want to play with us when it came our turn. He spent so much time with his head in the sunroof of that car, that he was apparently full and more or less snobbed us. *HUMPF*
But it is funny how he is sticking his head in there isn't it?!?!

This was our guy.
Do you see the one in the background in the trees?

He was very friendly. And, very interested to see what we could offer him.

"I will pet him, and squeeze him, and love him, and call him George"..
I really liked 'ol George.

Here are some zebra shots that I took during the filiming of the now infamous "Here Come The Zebwas" video..

I swear that zebra on the right is smiling...

I thik he got a little agitated with his partner.. Towards the end of the video you can hear Jamie say somethingabout zebras "fighting". They weren't really fighting, just aggravating each other. Nice to know other species, not just my children, like to do that.

This is the pic I snapped at the very end of the video.

Here's some more animal pics..I think this was an elk. I don't know. Like I said..our full color picture guide is
g-o-n-e.

After a while, Rubye Ann decided this whole "wild animal" thing was a bit overrated and she dozed off..

Waiting our turn...

Ostrich Attack

Poor Jamie. First a zebra, then the ostrich. Well, I guess when you play with fire....lol. Again, you may not find this video as funny as we do, but we love it. Listen to how hard Cooper is laughing. Poor Rubye Ann had definately had enough. You can hear her crying in the background. We'd been riding in the park for close to four hours by this point. This was right at the end. As we drove out the boys wanted to know if we could go again... I apoligize for the bad lighting. It was overcast like that for most of the day.
