Blowing his candles out was not difficult....there was a breeze that made it almost impossible to keep them lit!! It was very breezy, but terribly hot! It had been overcast all day, when we got to the pool at about 5:00 and put the cake out on the table, the sun immediately came out and was beaming straight down on the cake. After a little bit, I noticed the icing starting to slide off the cake and down on to the cake board. At that point, we put the cake back in the car with the A/C blowing full blast as cold as it would go!!

Our lifeguards were so much fun!!

I think everyone had a great time despite the oppressive heat. We have typically done our swim parties in the morning. This year, the only way to reserve the whole pool was to do it after pool hours in the evening. It was definately hotter in the late afternoon...whew....
