Thing 1 had his first football game this past Saturday. He missed the actual first game due to a nice little bout with bronchitis. We got up early and the house was buzzing. I was busy getting his stuff, the camera with the BIG lens and trying to get Thing 2 to wear a shirt that had long sleeves ( it was chilly) and get myself dressesd. Jamie was busy with Thing 3. Thing 1 was so excited. We all were. So much so, that when we got a few minutes down the road, we realized his shoulder pads were still sitting on the living room floor!! So, we turned around to retrieve them. Due to that retrival, we were not able to stop for Starbucks. So, Jamie dropped the boys and me off at field and went back for the coffee. While he was en route, I called to inform him that he needed to head to the house first due to the fact that we had left yet another item....the mouthguard! Oh boy...what a way to start the morning! Well, it didn't stop there.
After I called to report the missing mouthpiece, I began to get the camera ready and proceeded to snap a few pics. I noticed a few times the shutter was dragging a bit when I snapped a pic. I was listening to Thing 2 fuss about being cold and didn't realize what it means when the shutter drags...
IT MEANS YOUR CAMERA BATTERY IS GOING DEAD!!!
wonderful.
My boy's first game and his dodo of a mama doesn't have a charged camera battery, so therefore CANNOT TAKE ANY PICS!!
Way to go mom.
This was the last pic I got before my heart sank..
I asked a fellow camera obsessed friend if she would mind taking some pics for me. She was so sweet and did. Then she came and handed me her camera and offered to let me snap my own pics and she would send them to me!! YAY!! I don't have them yet, but I'll post them when I get them!
