Fun on the farm

We're home! We had a fun and busy trip. On Friday, Daddy and I took all three kiddos to Cotton Plant to do all the fun farm stuff. Ride on Bubba's "moole" (mule) (not a real mule folks, the vehicle), play in the mud and play on the "real tractoes"(tractors). It was certainly non-stop action on this day. This is Cooper jumping off a rice levee into his beloved mud. Michael got a huge kick out of this and hung out with us for the afternoon!

Cooper had absoultely no fear. As soon as we got out of the car he was ready to plunge into the mud. And he did. Davis was a bit more reserved. He took the cautious approach...

..and still sunk!

Rice fields are pretty aren't they?

Mama's boys decided to wash her car on Sunday! Nothing like a good fun car wash at home!

This doesn't violate child labor laws does it?

Davis' wheels started to turn and he decided to kill two birds with one stone. Since there was water AND soap out here......
why not just go ahead and take a bath now and not do it later!

When Jamie was leaving town yesterday, he came back in and said the eggs in the nest above our back door had hatched.
I haven't said anything to Monkey #1 and Monkey #2 yet....Mama Bird is a little protective and tends to dive bomb if you linger too long eyeballing her babies. I'll show them when those birdies are a bit bigger.
This will be the last post for the week. We are headed to PB tomorrow. See you next week!

Betcha thought I was't going to post huh? Just now having time to sit down to do it! Jamie's mom wanted to take us to the drive thru safari park in Delhi on Saturday. We went to the one in Folsum, La. last year. We had no idea at that time there was one just an hour down the interstate. Here's Cooper holding his cup to feed the ostrich. It was so funny because that crazy bird ate some from every one of those cups you see. It was like a buffett!

Rubye Ann did great. She sat quietly in her wrap and even fell asleep at one point, how I don't know, but she sure did!

They had a petting zoo as well. Cooper and Davis hung out here for a little bit while Chunky Monkey ate in the car!

These were from Sunday. Jamie got to keep our boys and two other boys AND Rubye Ann while I went to decorate for VBS with my friend Jennifer. We got out the slip-n-slide for maxium fun time. It will always be called a Wet Banana to me. THat's what they were when I had one. A long piece of yellow plastic stuff with a banana shaped sprinkler! No matter what they are called they are F-U-N!

Beau and Tate slippin' and slidin'...

Hee hee!

VBS this week has really knocked us all out! We are exhausted! Imagine making snacks for 45 children! I hope to have better posts next week.

Filler pics again today. Apologies for not getting back yesterday...we started VBS this week and that took up our whole morning. Then rubye Ann had her four month checkup. We were in that office for TWO hours. Uggh! Thankfully cooper and Davis were at a friends house, having the times of their lives. When I got there to pick them up, Davis was dressed up as a red power ranger and cooper was "the thing". All I heard on the way home was how much they wanted super hero dress up clothes! Those costumes were hysterical b/c they have built in padding to make it look like they have massive six pack abs and ernormus biceps. cooper just announced he wanted to go to back to Beau and Tate's house again, no doubt so he can be a super hero again!

Silly girl!

Yes, readers that is what you think it is.....TRAINING WHEELS that have been removed! Last night was the night to give it a shot for the very first time. I must say, Cooper will have this down in no time! Poor Jamie, he was out of breath by the time Cooper was ready to call it quits for the evening!

Gettting the balance thing down first.....

.....and he's off!
(sorta)

Look at that boy go! A few more nights like this and the pics will be of Cooper pedaling all by himself!

CANNONBALL!
We love this picture b/c it looks like Cooper is jumping over Ms. Pam and Davis. He was actually in front of them. He was perfecting what he calls his "booty jump". He runs to the edge and then jumps and tries to land in the water on his hiney. He can make a pretty big splash.

Shark Boy

Cue the Jaws theme now.... Ms. Pam is getting attacked by two fresh water sharks!

We went to Mrs. Fran's house after supper again last night and Jamie started tossing Cooper in the air! Cooper was having so much fun. Remember doing that?
Davis declined on this activity..

NOTE: The following blog must be read with the tune to JAWS playing in your head for maxium effectiveness!

SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrs. Fran found these awfully cool shark masks and picked them up for Cooper and Davis. They loooove them! Davis did GREAT yesterday. Hard to believe this was the kid wailing from last week!!!! I think the mask may have had a role in that! NOTHING, I mean NOTHING can scare a shark. Not even a stinkin' swim lesson!

This would NOT have happened last week. There wouldn't have been enough fruit roll-ups in the world to get him to do this. Here's the kicker: jumping off the side was HIS idea! HA!

"Did you see me Mama? I did it! I did it!"
I know baby, you did it!

Old pics today. I forgot my camera at swim lessons yesterday. Big D started off as usual..."Swim lessons are yuck Mama. We have to stop doing this!"
By the middle of the lesson however, he began to loosen up a bit and he actually grinned. By the time it over he was swimming to Mrs. Pam and jumping off the side and going under to get the diving rings. And of course I didn't have the camera. We went to Mrs. Fran's after nap and he and I "practiced". I even got him to go off the board!!!!!!!!!
Hope today goes as smoothly, the weather is not looking all that great though. It needs to clear up, I don't want him to have a day off and slip back to old ways!! HA HA HA. I was so proud of him!

These two are from last week.

Well, week two of swim lessons begins today. It's gonna be a long week.......I hope Big D does better! Here's the crew ready for Sunday School yesterday. They all looked at the camera at the same time...WOW!! Who's that hiding back there?

Watermelon eating contest! Cooper won...I asked Davis a few minutes later where his watermelon was..he said,"I took it inside, my body didn't want anymore." ok. So I was thinking he put it in the kitchen...

NOPE!!!! The top of the chair will do just fine thank you very much! lol lol
