Our neighbor behind us bought his oldest one of those mini-dirtbikes, on a whim. He knew his wife was going to be furious with him, so he bought her an I-phone 4 to soften the blow.
Of course you can imagine the excitement of all the boys in the neighborhood, big boys included....

We told our boys, this is the closest you will ever get to having one of these. The only reason they got to ride it was b/c it had training wheels.

It was a little tricky for them at first, but they got the hang of it..unfortunately.

We arrived on the parade route about 45 minutes before it started...of course you can imagine that the natives became restless and bored...

We got a treat in seeing the Budweiser Clydesdales...I am scared of horses, but these guys are awesome.

Somebody's got to do it...better them than me!

We took the offspring to a Mardi Gras parade tonight.

They were not impressed. They actually got a tad upset at the whole thing..

Nevermind the extravagant floats....forget about the cool costumes.....

They just plain didn't like it...the loud music didn't bother them, the crowds didn't bother them. The thing that DID bother them?
No candy was thrown...
Go figure.

LET'S PLAY!!!!!

Had a blog post ready, but pics won't upload. Remember my computer guru? Yeah, well he's out of town...I'll try again tomorrow.... Boo.

We had a big day this past Saturday! RA's play house arrived! The weather and other circumstances got in the way the week of her birthday, so we weren't able to get it. After C.'s basketball game, Jamie and some friends/family went to pick it up! Man, we had one excited 3 year old!

It was quite interesting to watch how the house made it way into our yard. 5 grown men, landscape timbers and alot of "on the count of three"....

They set the house down on the landscape timbers and pushed it along until one or two would come out under the front end. They would pick it up and put it in the back and keep pushing. Pretty smart. I call it the Ancient Egyptian House Moving Technique.

When it was finally in place, you know who wasted NO time in moving her stuff in...

The boys took a break from all their tom foolery and showed up for cake!

The girls went back to playing after the cake break until the birthday girl announced she was ready to open her "pesents". I usually wait to open gifts until after the party. But when she bounced up and down clapping her hands requesting to open her "pesents", I could hardly tell her no!!

It was another birthday party weekend for us..sheesh, it seems everytime I turn around someone is having a birthday around here!! So this time we celebrated with baby dolls and cupcakes!
