Good Evening Ladies and Gentlecars!
Can you guess what movie we saw this week?

Cars 2.
Great flick.
In anticipation of the outing, the boys went and dug out all the cars from the first movie and then built a race track.

I love their creativity.

Coop has some major hang time when he dives...
He kinda just floats thru the air.

Big D. and his front flip...
Those would be water spots on the lens.

D. thought this was sooooo funny....
his foot

I'm tired, I'm beyond tired...Pooped, exhausted, shattered, etc. We are in the middle of VBS this week. VBS for me entails making snacks for 150+ kids. Today we made Trump Towers, which consisted of graham crackers, mini-marshmallows and icing, put together and stacked three high. Tomorrow we make taxi cabs with little cakes. Lotsa work!! All that plus turning in a cookbook with 800+ recipies plus keeping the house in "ready to show" condition is tough. Especially when you get home from VBS to find that your kitchen ceiling leaked during the massive thunderstorm we had this morning. Wonderful. And, yes, thank you very much, I would like some cheese to go with my whine.

This kid sure did have fun playing with me while I had the camera!!

This kid had fun too. She loved getting as close to the camera as possible. She wasn't as fired up about the underwater shots though.

This kid was not participating.
Well, time for a house update. We continue to have lookers, as I call them. Unfortunately, no buyers yet. They will come. We have also decided to move forward with the purchase of the other house. We got the dreaded call last week that someone else made an offer with no contingency. We had 72 hours to decide what we wanted to do. We decided to go for it. So. We close in a month. Not long. I've got a month to pack up 8 years worth of hoarding. The ideal secaniro would be if someone made us an offer in the next 2 to 3 weeks. Kinda like the movie Field of Dreams...only with a house. "If you buy it, they will come".

The good thing about selling your house in the summer?? There is always somewhere to go to keep the house clean..the POOL! I played with my camera again. D. and RA. were more than happy to play with me. C. however, was not.

Two weeks tomorrow (Friday) that we have had this..

I have to say that I will be glad when this is over, however it may turn out. We have had several lookers but no biters yet. We have been keeping ourselves busy with touch-ups here and there and maintaining the clean, ready to show at a moments notice...that's the hard part. I can't imagine how people do this who have houses for sale for MONTHS...its only been two weeks for us and I'm beat! Everytime we leave the house in the morning for any reason, I go through a routine to make sure everything is in place in case I get a call saying someone wants to see the house. I've learned the hard way twice... I think the worst was last Sunday morning. After everyone got up, I told J. that I wanted to go the the early service at church for two reasons. First, I had a meeting at 1:00 for the cookbook I'm in charge of and second, if we went to the early service, we would get home earlier and be able to clean up form our major workday the day before. So, as we are about to go into sunday school, I get a text for the realtor saying someone wants to see house at noon. NOON! NOON!!!!! So, off I go to the house...to clean up. That was NOT fun. So, today I get a text saying someone wants to see the house tomorrow at 5. At least we got plenty of warning. But, in true J. and S. fashion, we have worked ourselves silly tonight..and I'm sure tomorrow during the day, I will find something that needs attention...I really hope these folks coming tomorrow are "our people"....

Last day of swim lessons and this time I tried a different setting on the underwater camera. The "fish" setting. It is literally a fish icon. Never seen an icon like that before.
Sister was swimming to me.

D. was doing his freestyle from the deep to the shallow.

C. was going down to the deep to get his torpedos.

House update: Someone was set to come look today at 3:30. I got a call in the middle of swim lessons that they wanted to come earlier and were ready. AHHHHHH!!!! I, however, this time was not!! At lunch, sister had spilled milk all over the kitchen floor. I was able to wipe it up but I didn't have time to mop before we left. I thought to myself, "I'll get it when we get back...we will have a little over an hour.." HA! As I was walking out the door, I thought maybe that I should go back and do it and be a little late for swim lessons. Then decided against it and went on...when I grow up maybe I will learn to listen to my gut instincts... maybe.

I played with my new camera at swim lessons today....and I had fun. Maybe a little too much..

How 'bout those upside down goggles filling up with water..
Using this little underwater digital camera proved to be a bit challenging. For one thing, taking a picture with any camera that has a screen instead of viewfinder in sunlight is difficult. Now, add water and buoyancy. Tricky. Half the time I couldn't tell if I even had the kids in the frame... it will take practice. Add leaky goggles...so, picture it: me, cheeks full of air, trying to stay underwater, one eye closed cuz of leaky goggle, pointing camera in general direction of kid who will be plunging into water at any given moment. funny.
