Sir Davis in his battle gear...

It's not a REAL castle without the dragon...

Brave knights engaging in dragon slaying...

Self-appointed "sword carrier"....

Party Time!!!
Here's a crooked picture of Davis' castle cake. It didn't look crooked when I snapped it...

Swords for dragon slaying...

Shields and helments too..

...and of course the castle!!

The orginial plan was for his party to be in the front yard like last year. But, it rained EVERY day the week before the party, and cardboard castles and wet grass don't go together very well. So, we were very lucky that our Family Life Center at church had not been rented out.

Big D turned 5 on Saturday...it just doesn't seem possible....
We had to do everything in reverse order...presents THEN birthday do-nut. He was way to excited to wait another minute..

YES!!! My own DS...

Proud fella...

Haven't a clue what he could be wishing for...he'd already opened his presents. Maybe he's wishing for more?!?!???!

After the tearing up of the doves, the boys got to go for a thrill ride on a combine! We had to drive out into the middle of a corn field to get to it.

A combine is quite loud, if you can't tell by these reactions.....

Up they go...

...and they're off!!

Hey Mommy!! Look at my new trick, I can make my tongue go side to side!!

Is it funnier if I stand up? I think it is....

Hee hee!! He's gone. Now, where were we??

The big boys came back with some doves....

Here's Bubba showing Davis the heart and guts of the dove. Davis the one who wants to see it all..... Cooper is like, umm...ok.

Of course, Sister wants to be in on the action. Gross or not....if her brudders are there, so is she.

Fun in the Gator
....not sure what happened to Davis... She probably knocked him out.

We went to the farm for the opening day of dove season. Here's the boys trowing rocks at the barn. I mean, they are AT the barn and throwing rocks, not actually throwing the rocks at the barn. Throwing rocks has been a favorite pastime of theirs since they were both little bity boys.

I love this picture...

RA and Sazzy..

3 stooges

I took these while we were waiting for the big boys to get back from the morning hunt....

This is what happens when you bite your big brother......
Kinda ironic that the name on the back of the chair is the one who was bit!!Posted by Picasa

The last slides of the day...

I couldn't believe Big D got on this one....can you see Jamie's head peeking over the hill???

I couldn't believe he did this. If anyone ever wants to know where Rubye Ann's daredevil streak came from you won't have to look too far; her daddy and Aunt SuSu....
That slide goes STRAIGHT DOWN....his back had huge red marks all over it when he got off. He told me that you are going so fast that you come off the slide a bit and get banged around. I don't call that fun.... Nope. No way. "Not gonna do it"... ( that last sentence needs to be read out loud using your best George H. Bush impression...)

Well, today was a milestone at our house. Davis had his first day of Pre-K.
Here is my sweet boy looking all kinds of grown up in his school uniform..

Time to go..load up.

Last pic before I left my baby.
He was sooooo exctied!! I was, well, I was sad. It was so much harder to watch him go to pre-k than when Cooper went. I cried on the phone on the way home to Jamie and my good friend. Then when Rubye Ann and I walked in the door, I started crying again because there was not a little boy jumping up and down asking a million questions. I stood in the door way and sobbed. I was holding Rubye Ann and do you know what that child did????? She laughed at me.
