OOOOHHHHHHHH, I lOVE Halloween!!
Yesterday after Cooper got home from school, we loaded up and went to the local "pumpkin patch". It's a gift shop that gets pumpkins every year from an Indian Reservation and covers the area around the store with the prettiest pumpkins. Every year I go and take the boys to get some and take pictures in the pumpkins. Last year however, I did not. I was feelin' a might poorly. But because I was feeling so bad last year, I got to take this shot this year....

and this one....

and this one....

aaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnddddd this one!

Wait...aren't pinatas supposed to hang? Yeah, well this one did until Davis took a whack at it...how i didn't get a snap of it I have no idea...But anyway, here's Cooper having a go with it. Another FYI: pinatas do not bust open when whacked sitting on the ground....

your husband has to open it....

and throw the candy in the air....

you get the same effect! That's hilarious! Check out the little dude in the black knight's helment and chest plate...better get outta his way...he's double fisted and lookin for some candy!

Our clown also did some magic tricks for the kids. In this one, Davis cut that rope about 3 or 4 times then Mr. Cox tied it back together in knots and wrapped it around his hand. Then he gave Davis a "magic pinecone" to "make an X on the rope". After Big D made the X, the rope was unwound and it was all back together.

This was Davis' reaction.....notice magic pincone in his right hand. He's got to be thinking, "What just happened?"

Blowin' out the candles...

Check this out...this kid can lift 1000 pounds!! I knew he was strong, but gee whiz! Love the facial expression! FYI: It is not wise to try and paint styrofoam. TRUST ME ON THIS!

A party goer daring to attempt the RING OF FIRE!! Ha ha ha ha~NOTE: See the basketball toss game in the background? Notice its location...see the front end of Mama and Daddy's car? The story about that follows:

The bowling game was a hit! The basket ball toss was fun too, that is until the ball was run over and it exploded. It was hilarious. I knew I should have put that game somewhere other than close to the street. The ball had rolled under Bubba and Sazzy's car. They left for a few minutes and as they were pulling away there was this loud POP!! I looked around and saw that poor little deflated basket ball. I ran up to get and showed it to Daddy and said " You did this on purpose didn't you? You killed our LSU basketball." ( I was laughing the whole time) Daddy's response was to pump his fists in the air as if to cheer, as any good Hog fan would do! Later on though, I don't think he was too proud of those Hogs.

The kids loved being able to go inside the circus tent. Kids love boxes. I got a bunch of boxes this summer when I noticed the apartments across from our neighborhood installing refridgerators and washer and dryers. I snagged as many as i could fit into the ole minivan. I was going to use them for Cooper's b-day to make a pirate ship the kids could go in and out of at the party. Well, that never happened so then I decided to make circus stuff with them. I had about 6 or 7 of thses big boxes in the dining room set up in a tunnel around the table for a while and the boys had a blast going in and taking blankets and books and stuff. I know they are sorry to see them gone, but I AM NOT!!

Ok, here's the tent that didn't show up yesterday.
Jamie had to hang the top to one of the branches in that tree. It was two separate pieces.

Our cake lady is amazing with what she can do....

Our clown.....close family friend.
Mr. Cox did this for us. He said he put on his suit and drove thru town and stopped at the bank to go in. He got to giggling so hard telling about it I'm not sure he ever finished the story!!

We also had a face painting/tattoo table. Our neighbor helped out. The tattos were WAY more cool to the kids than face paint. Just shows how times change. If this had been back in the 80's I'd been all over the face paint!!!

So a circus would not be complete with out a few very important things..
some cotton candy and popcorn..

Animals such as....giraffes..(yeah, I know one usually doesn't see a giraffe at the circus, but I needed an easy animal to draw)

elephants balancing on a beach balls..

and lions...ROAR!!!
I also had a circus tent. I tried to upload that pic too but the website would only let me put up four. I'll post the tent tomorrow. (That's an excuse to come back!!!)

The circus came to town on Saturday for Big D's party.....on our front yard to be more exact!! The boys were so funny. They were out there in their pjs running around while Jamie and I were setting everything up.See the empty string in the front of the picture? There was supposed to be balloons on that string like on the others. But, it took longer than I thought to get them blown up and tied together. So at 1 am the morning before, Jamie and I quit. The idea was for balloons to go all around the yard. It still looked cute.

You talkin' to me? What'd you say?

Ready to get outta here!

Who cares about Lincoln Logs when there is this cool bucket to play in!

This kid digs corn on the cob....still does. If I give him a corn cob with supper, it disappears first and there in NOT ONE SINGLE kernal left. Literally.
