Big D's turn for a Thanksgiving feast!! His class dressed up as pilgrims and indians and sang a few songs for moms and dads.
Can you spot my favorite pilgrim??

Cooper's class had a Thanksgiving Feast today. Everyone is finally fever-free at our house, so RA and I stepped out for some fun..

Notice how much food they piled on his plate....

She wanted in on the food action...where there's food, you'll find Rubye Ann!!

Notice how much food Cooper left on his plate. The only things missing are the ham, turkey and part of a roll and fruit!!!!!! Sister grabbed the fork and took care of it for him!!
She didn't really eat it at all..in fact she really just played in it!!

Alrighty, let's get back to Halloween!! After the costume contest, a few of us went to our church's annual Fall Festival.

Rubye Ann scored a caramel apple. She wasn't too sure what to do with it. I was very happy to show her how one eats such a thing....
She tried, but just couldn't get those little teeth to sink into that apple. So, I had to finish it for her... ;)

Her favorite playmate, next to her bubbies of course...

Been wondering where I have been???? Well, let's see. First, RA came down with a nice case of hand foot mouth. She had blisters all over her little hiney, feet and throat. She was not a happy camper for the first week of my absence. She was waking up four or five times a night which meant I was too!! Then I came down with strep throat. I got it knocked out pretty quickly with some antibiotics. Then, Jamie left town last week and I was a single parent of three, so, the blog got left alone!! I really thought we were all well too....but....this morning we were called out of "big church" with the news that RA had a 102 fever!! UGH!! When we got home Jamie said he felt feverish as well. We took his temp and it was 100. So, here we go again!!
On a lighter note, before round two of sickness, Jamie took the boys to their first LSU game this past Saturday. He didn't bring the good camera, but he snapped a few pics with his Iphone to document the event!!

After a bit of gentle persuading, I hosted a neighborhood costume contest. I didn't want to do it. Didn't think I could. But, I did.
Ms. Fran always had something going on at her house for the kids of the 'hood on Halloween. Back in September she called me from the hospital with the idea for a costume contest, and told me to "get on it". Well, I sorta put it on the back burner when she just didn't get better. Then, well, she died. I really didn't think I could do it. But, two days before Halloween I decided I could and that it needed to be done. So, I made a bunch of phone calls and several trips to Wal-Mart, and it was done.

We ended up with about 20 or more kids for the contest. I told everyone that after the contest, they were invited back at 6:30 to trick or treat as a group.

We couldn't decide on a winner, so I wrote down all the names of the costumes and we drew out of a hat. This pic shows most of the contestents, some didn't feel like taking part in a group photo.
I think everyone had a great time. Including Ms. Fran, whom I am sure was looking down on us and smiling.
