His second game of the season...we scurry around getting everything we need..uniform? check. Camera bag with camera? check Big brother? check. Little sister? check. Load up and move out. Bag with balls and bats? no check, turn around to get. That sounds vaguely familiar doesn't it? If you don't remember..think back to football season and shoulder pads..
So, we get to the field. D takes off to practice. Brother and Sister take off to playground. I begin camera set up..only to realize...no camera card. THAT sounds vaguely familiar too doesn't it..good grief
Oh well, I thought. It's only the second game of the season. It usually takes D. a few games to get his groove so to speak. I won't miss much. Well. Wouldn't you know it...
That boy walks up to the plate and smacks a HOMERUN.
Way to go baby!! Way to make your mama feel like do-do.
Here he is with his homerun ball...after I snapped this, we put the ball in a plexiglass container for safe keeping.

When we finished saying prayers he asked me if he could take it to school for show and tell. I told him to ask his teacher first. That is one pround little boy.

Time for the egg hunt!

Hoppin' (more like walkin') down the bunny trail...

The "Easter Bunny" was on the premsis waiting to hand out candy to cute little girls..however one cute little girl was having no part of that. Jamie even tried to coax her with a bag of Skittles. Wouldn't work...

Even the bunny tried one last time...nope.

D. had his first game last night...unfortunately, it was called due to thunder and lightening. His team was at bat and he had not had a turn yet. Needless to say, he was a bit unhappy with that decision and was still grumbling about it when he crawled into bed. Then the storm HIT. Lotsa lightening, lotsa thunder, rain, hail, wind..... J. stayed glued to the radar while I cleaned out a closet for all of us should the need arise. Thank goodness I spent a a couple of days last week giving said closet a mini makeover... We never did hunker down, but there were a couple of times when i was ready to go pluck all my babies from their beds and go hide. We sustained no major damage at our house. Our neighbor lost their dog pen though... dog is fine but pen is not! Anyway, I did get a few shots of D. in the outfield before the game was called....

Are we gonna play or what???

He was more worried about his pants looking good than he was about the batter who was about to hit..thank goodness the kid missed every pitch....

I'm tired. After I started thinking about my day, I realized why. Just thinking about my day makes me tired. So here's the run down: Got kids up, fed and dropped off at school.
Sister and I stop by Lowes and buy flowers. Clean out flowerbed for afore mentioned flowers. GO BACK TO LOWES for MORE flowers. Eat lunch. Paint closet....WHAT?!?!?? Yes, I painted a closet. I'm weird like that.
Work on cookbook for church. Do homework when boys get home. Teach Kindergarten choir at church. Give three baths. Decorate 33 cupcakes. Like I said...I'm tired. Oh yeah, forgot to mention we dyed our Easter eggs this afternoon too. Good grief....what's wrong with me?!?!!?

The three year old got a bit restless towards the end of Coop's ball game...so we kept her entertained with two of her favorite playthings:

Baseball season has begun... Coop moved up this time. He still has a pitiching machine but it goes faster now and they use the 3 outs. The games also last longer. We got home at 9! On a school night, yuk! I really dont have much to say on this post, I don't really "get " baseball, or any sport for that matter. I do know the team with the highest score wins.. which by the way, was NOT our team tonight.

I can remember when I was pregnant with Cooper kinda freaking out a bit about how to feed kids and give them what they NEED. I calmed myself by realizing, jarred baby food has it all done for me and all I had to do was "pop the top" on a jar and BAM! Nutrition! Then, when Coop was ready for table food, freaking out again about how to feed a toddler and give him what he NEEDS...Then i found this awesome cookbook that showed how to make healthy foods for toddlers. YAY!! Nutrition! Upon the discovery of said cookbook I was now expecting BigD. This cookbook also taught how to make homemade baby food! I was so excited, and got started right away..pureeing veggies and freezing them for when my baby was old enough for them. Pretty much everything Big D first ate was homemade baby food. He was a great eater as a baby. Now, it's a different story all together. While the boys were little, I did a fairly good job of making sure they got what the needed. I had them eating peas, corn, spinach, broccoli, and somethimes even asparagus! Not bad huh? Anyway, when I was expecting Rubye Ann, things changed. I got lazy.. that was a lot of work. I had already decided I was not going to have the time to make homemade baby food for her, and i was ok with that. I'd figure out a way to get her to eat the good stuff, afterall, I had done it with the boys successfully. So, she arrives. Not exactly the best arrival and she totally threw our house and world upside down (in a good way)! So after we got done with jar food with her I started introducing all the stuff I had given the boys. Pasta mixed with cheese sause and different veggies hidden inside. She loved the pasta and cheese. LOVED the pasta and cheese. I mean L O V E D the pasta and cheese. Did I mention she loved the pasta and cheese?? The veggies? Not so much. I have battled with her ever since on the veggie thing..thinking eventually she will eat them. Nope. The other night I told her she was big enough to eat a salad like her bubbies do. So I tore up some spinach leaves and put them on all the kids plates. then put some ranch dressing on the side for the "salad". The boys ate theirs up first thing...the girl however, did this: When I asked her what she was doing she said.."I dont like the green leaves mama." *sigh*
I'm doing this post as a test...hope it works...if it does I'll post the story with this pic ..here goes nothing...
