Like I said, slingshot didn't work so we improvised. We got a weight from the weight room and placed the balls on it for them to kick.

My attempt at constructing a biiiiiiig slingshot. It was non operational. But hey, it looked good!!

When we realized flinging the balls wasnt going to get it, we decided kicking them would be better..
so we placed a ball on the center of a weight to keep it from rolling and the kids kicked away!

It was a party weekend around here..

We took the beasts with us this trip due to the fact that since we have moved, they wont stay at home. They are taking off and living a life on the run. Heres a typical run down: discover dogs are gone, wait to see if they show up, 12 hours later call to report them missing, then, one of two things usually happens; (1) We get a call theat they have been found 3 miles away, or (B) they wander up the driveway looking haggard and need to go sleep it off. So, we weren't comfortable leaving them here. Well, let me tell you this, they had the best time!

Of course, being the "gotta preserve memories" freak that I am decided we just HAD to get a picture of the kids with the beasts on a big log. Cause you know, it would look really cool.

I have decided the only way to get a good picture of kids and dogs is to give the dogs a sedative...

C. was not as interested in the dead doves. So he and Moose, the neighbor dog had wandered over to the woods.

Happy Birthday Big D!!!! My main man is 7 today!!
He started his day by staring at his presents, barely awake..

Then he blew out his candle on the birthday donut..

Then ripped into those presents before trudging off to school.

I had a surprise planned for him after he got home from school and finished his homework. We loaded up in the mini and went to pick up Jamie and Blake. I told him he could pick where we were going to eat. As we were pulling out of the driveway I overheard him and Cooper talking about it. D. said "Going to Chuck E. Cheese would be fun", then C. stopped him in mid-sentence and said, "Its a school night so I doubt we are going all the way to Monroe." We got to the office and got Jamie and Blake and headed out. I asked Davis to tell us where he wanted to go and he answered "Johnny's". So I let him think that for a few minutes. As we were getting on the interstate C. said, "Mama where are you going?" That's when I let the cat out of the bag and told them. There were lots of whoops and hollers at that point. Chris joined us a little later for our little celebration. All the kids had fun, my 3 year old, my 7 year old, my 9 year old, my 20 year old, my 21 year old and my 40 year old! Fun times!

House update: our buyers got their inspection done and it went good. They are not asking for us to make any repairs. Yay!
Next up is the appraisal.
Labor Day weekend we went to C.P. for openeing day of dove season.
Davis is my huntin' boy. He loves it. Cooper likes it, but it ends there for him. Davis though, loves everything about it.

After 111 days on the market, we have a buyer.
Closing date set for mid October...

Time to blow out the candles, er, candle. He huffed and he puffed..

They made one last trip out to the pond for some rock skippin'.

After a long night,and I do mean a looooooooooooooong night, they hogged down on some do-nuts and koolaid. Breakfast of champions!

So, back to the house for cake and presents.

The whole gang, we were missing one very important person, but he got to have his own private sleepover a few days earlier since he was out of town for this one.

This was probably the only time everyone was still and quiet except for when they were asleep. HA!
