Same day, same weather. Rubye Ann was napping in the car when the boys took this outing, so I stayed with her. Doesn't that water look C-O-L-D????

That's a lota aqua..
Note: I was tryin' to be funny just then..hope I spelled 'water' in Spanish correctly!!

Our first full day. The weather was awful. A front moved thru the night before, very loudly, I might add. On Saturday we saw a bit of rain, some sleet, and snow flurries....
Here's a place called Bear Cave Rock or Bear Rock Cave or something along those lines. The boys loved it, climbing all over the place. And trust me, there were PLENTY of nooks and crannies for them.

Nook #1

Nook #2

We are home from Petit Jean. It was waaaayyyyy too cold!! The boys had a blast, the big one included!! We had a cabin that was located on a CLIFF!! Here I am with the crew on one of the rocks just outside our cabin.

These were the Turtle Rocks. This was on the other side of the pic from above. The boys had soo much fun climbing on these....

Lil Bit seemed pleased as well..

Just a small warning.....yikes!!

OH NO!!!!!!

Well, we are going to take the kids camping at Petit Jean State Park today.
We were going to go with another family and have a big ole time. Unfortunately, last night one of the kids in the other family had a bicycle wreck and broke his leg!!

That puts somewhat of a damper on our plans. We are headed to the hospital to visit and then I guess we will head up to Petit Jean without the other half of the crew. We will surely miss them. Please say a prayer for poor little N. He will have to have surgery today. Definatley getting some screws and possibly plates. He was so brave last night. Didn't cry once. He had to sleep in traction last night. That's one tough 6 year old!!

Don't let the pink fool ya!!

I can slap a big pink bow on her head. I can put her in pink pants. It doesn't matter. With all the "boy toys" around here it just can't be helped.....
She keeps up with them no matter what. Tractors, dump trucks, wrestling, climbing....you name it.

Think I should stick a dolly in there? She'd just pull it out and throw in on the dirt.

A girl and her dump truck....

Our little monkey girl...
She absoultely loves playing with her brothers. She really likes Cooper's dinosaur mountain. She likes to push the button on the top that makes sounds. Mainly the sound of a dinosaur BURPING after he's eaten. She giggles everytime she does it. I am in serious trouble......

Just too pooped to pop..she literally fell asleep eating lunch the other day. Don't worry, she got PLENTY of lunch. That was her second plate!!!

I removed the tray, took a fresh wipe, cleaned her hands and face, removed her bib and well, see for yourself....
Wish I could sleep like that!! Ok. Here's a quick story. Jamie LOVES ice cream....L-O-V-E-S it. Especially Neopolitian. He told me one time he realized just how much he eats when he gets the hankering. Four bowls with four scoops each....16 scoops folks.....that's about $ 20 or $30 worth of ice cream at Baskin Robbins!!... ANYWAY, tonight while I was posting just now I heard him begin to do his customary "oooooo" when he eats too much of it. Well, I told him it was his own fault...he started to say something and I stopped him and said..."Are you slurring?" He said,"My mouth is frozen!!!" He finished off half of a half gallon tonight. Just now he said, "You know what...I could eat more if I had more....I really could, that's good stuff!!"

I decided to try to start posting at night instead of dark thirty in the morning. I've noticed my posts aren't as creative. I have'nt been feeling very creative in the mornings lately soooo, I thought this might be better!!

We are headed to PB tomorrow. Jamie is going to build me a raised flower bed while we are gone. I can't wait to see it...

Next week is the last week for Bootcamp..thank goodness!! It's great but not for me. Now, don't get me wrong..it's not that it's too hard, I just plain don't like it. I would rather do aerobics, or swim, or pretend to play tennis. I'm not a marine. I'm not Rocky Balboa. I do not like running up a very steep hill carrying a medicine ball. I did it, twice. Each time I got to the top of the hill I kept waiting to hear the Rocky theme song. I'll find something to replace bootcamp. I feel better when I excercise, so I want to keep doing something. Just not that. Hope this doesn't make me a wimp....

Spring soccer has begun. And guess who FINALLY gets to play?!?!?!?
That boy was soooo proud of himself. We were too!!

He has been chompong at the bit to get to play. So, at his first game he was all over the field....

Get that ball D!!

Go Coop!!!!
I'm still waiting for the sunshine. It hasn't been sunny since Tuesday last week.....I NEED SOME SUNSHINE!!!! My freckles are fading...lol If you know me well, you know that was dripping with sarcasm. The part about the freckles I mean. I do not like my freckles and if I'm worried about them fading...I really miss the sun!!!! lol

Finally, we took the boys(and girl) to the Mirror Maze and Wax Museum.

Jamie in deep conversation.

After supper that night, we went to a putt-putt and go-cart center. These were the junior go-carts. Those boys had so much fun.

This place also had kiddie rides. Since I refuse to ride a "real" rollercoaster, Jamie said I had to get on the kiddie one with the boys. They required a parent to sit on the outside of the seat. It was a fun trip.

The Go-Rilla. He was quite the showman. He sat and stared at us for a while swinging his toy. Then he started to walk back to sit under the rocks. While he was sitting there staring, he stared to beat on his chest and the next
thing we knew, he ran toward us and charged the plexiglass window.

After hitting the window he would slide across the concrete and come to a stop. His breath would then fog up on the window. He would pace back and forth for a bit then go sit back down and it would start all over again.

"The hills are alive....." does anyone get that movie reference? Seeing this ram on these rocks makes me think of that. This pic doesn't really show it, but that was a huge wall of rocks that went straight up.

I mean really, have you ever seen anything quite as lazy? Must be nice....

Next, off to the Fort Worth Zoo.
We really like going to zoos at our house.
A LOT.

Cheetah

Mama and her cubs

Lazy, good-for-nothings
Kangaroos, actually.
