The pinata took some hard licks.....and held togehter quite..
nicely....oh wait, that's not the idea..It's SUPPOSED to break rather easily..

The blog will not allow all the MANY pics I took of the kids trying to bust the pinata. It took the kids three rounds each to get this sucker cracked open! I overheard someone ask Jamie if this was a real treasure chest.

But finally, it was overcome with one final blow....check out the "treasure" spiling form the bottom!

The chaos afterward....like little vultures....
Check out the boy standing with black swim shorts on......think he got enough beads?!?!?!? HA HA! Oh btw...I was absent again yesterday. TWICE now..not good! School is starting soon and I'll be back on my schedule!

Blow out those candles big guy!

Both of the boys were in dire need of haircuts..Davis pulled off his mask and this was the result...nice! That hair would have been great when I dressed them as Thing 1 and 2. Davis only had a small spattering of hair then and the blue hair spray didn't show up all that great on him.

Uhhh, guys....... the hats are for the kids! Actually, if the truth be known, they were the only ones who wore the hats!!!!

Little Bit arrived late...she stayed in the cool and comfort of the house. It was 195 degrees outside and ALMOST unbearable. She showed up for the last 15 minutes of the party. I had intended for her to sport one of those pirate hats...you know, the ones that ALL THE KIDS had fun wearing..but it didn't happen..

Ok, second.....it has been brought to my attention that the pics from the first blog of Cooper's party are no longer up....very odd. Anyway, here they are again for those of you who don't LOG ON EVERYDAY. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!! Shame on you! Ha ha!! Only kidding. This was Lucky. He showed everone where to come.

The most awesomest pirate cake ever!!! I worked hard on this. Uhhhh, yeah right, hardly.

ARRGH! Me Hearties!

Sword fight......

How many kids can fit on an inflatable pirate ship? I believe about 6!

I think this was the beginning of the end of the pirate ship!
OOOPS! The inflatable swords and pirate hats were the favors. As you can see, the pirate hats were a big hit! HA HA! Isn't that always the way? The thing YOU like the best, the kids could care less about!?!?!?!?

We had Cooper's party at a neighbor's pool. This is Lucky the Pirate. He stood out by the driveway so everyone would know where to come.

Check out this AWESOME cake!!!! That pirate ship on top......it's CAKE too! The island part is raised up and the blue icing was done to look like waves. Click on the pic to get a closer view. This lady in Ruston makes our cakes. Isn't she great!?

This was the pinata. I had it sitting next to the cake on the table for decoration until time to bust it open!

Here's our pirate ship..let me tell you it was a HIT!!!!!

Happy Birthday! Our little tradition is to have a doughnut with a candle on one's b-day. the crown came from school. The teacher celebrated all the summer b-days on one of the last days and made crowns....
He woke up, put on his crown and waltzed into the living room, very proud that he was FINALLY six years old.
On Thursday I loaded up the kids and took them to Monroe. Another traditon is that when we take the kids to Monroe, we ALWAYS eat at IHOP. So in honor of the birthday boy, we went to IHOP and then to the JUNGLE GYM. A place that has indoor jumpy things and slides and ball pit, etc. By the time we left, I think every person that we came into contact knew this little boy was turning 6 the next day.

Mama and Daddy came on Friday to be here for his party the next day....
This pic is when we gave Cooper his bike from Jamie and me. He was excited!

We have graduated to a 16 incher now! We are still working on that training wheel thing. These will eventually come off as well...

Tune in tomorrow for the party pics!
