He’s baaaaack!
Freddy the elf has returned for another season of fun and games! We found him the morning after Thanksgiving while we were getting ready to leave for a weekend in PB.
When we got home we found him on the mantle over the fireplace.
This morning before school the kids found him hanging out with the pilgrims. They seemed to get along quite nicely.
Sister had to get one last look before heading out. Last year Freddy went crazy with some of his antics. We figured it was because we were in a new house. wonder what he has in store for us this year?

104 days of summer vacation…..
and school comes along just to end it… sing along with me. No really. Every person in my house knows the words to that theme song and also knows the characters that sing it! On our last day of our trip we got to meet them. I caught the boys reactions when they first laid eyes on…
Phineaus and Ferb! We didn’t do a bunch of waiting in line to meet characters this trip but we most definitely waited to meet these two. Afterall, the boys did dress up as them for Halloween one year.
I even got in on the action! Love me some Phineaus and Ferb!

Let’s Go To The Movies..
This is a fun park. Well, they are all fun I guess! It is supposed to look like a big movie set. Those Disney folks really know how to make you feel like you are in the REAL place: San Fran right? Nope. A backdrop they constructed. But, man it looks real!
One of the attractions the kids loved was the playground made to look like the old movie “Honey I Shrunk the Kids”. Its made to look like a backyard where everything is giant and you are made to feel like a tiny ant. Like this pic of a waterhose spout and blades of grass:
I couldn’t find the boys at one point and found them over in a corner. They had discovered an area where one of the giant sized flowers squirted water. It was a bit warm that day and that water was nice and cool! They loved getting soaking wet as all little boys do.
Sister spent the whole time playing in the net maze. I think it was supposed to be a spider’s web. The kids could run all over and climb and slide on the ropes. She. LOVED. it.

Ooooohhhh, Ahhhhhhhh…..
After the parade, the Parade Nazis pulled up the tape and vanished. Then it was time to have a seat on the ground and wait for the fireworks. Some of us took a quick snooze while waiting….
Then the show started. For a BRIEF moment I again worried about disturbing others with my camera, then shook it off, again. I’ve got some pretty awesome pictures to show for it too!
Ater the last PoP! of lights, we scrambled to the monorail. Us and probably thousands of others all trying to get on first and get outta there. Not too fun at that point but totally worth it to see everything. Some of us took the easy wat out and got to be carried…
Others in the group showed of mad skills by leapfrogging over the post in the parking lot. Can you say second wind?

Don’t cross the tape!
Next up at MK was the Electrical Parade and Fireworks. We opened that park up and we closed her down! When nightfall hits, the park “cast members” begin taping off the route for the parade. They also place what I call the Parade Nazis all around making sure you don’t cross the tape line. Seriously, if you had one foot cross the tape line, out of nowhere someone would appear and scold you for doing so. What?? I thought this was “the happiest place on earth”. As we were trying to find a place on the correct side of the tape line, I snapped this of the castle. It was changing colors and this one was my favorite.
We found our spot and the littlest of our group got to sit higher up. I was not included in that group..lol. Then we stood and waited and waited and waited. Watched people get fussed at for crossing the tape and ate a few sncaks since the snack stand was behind us!
Then the music started and the parade slowly made its way down Main Street. I was ready with my camera. I like how they turned out.
All of the pictures of the parade were taken by STEPPING OVER THE TAPE LINE!! I had no choice.. I guess the Parade Nazis gave up by this point because no one scolded me. I would snap a picture then jump back over the line to safety. Then wait for a cool looking float….jump, snap, jump.
