Well, I gave it my best shot. Our orphan kitty died today.

He is so patient with her. I hate to even say this but, she will go sit down on the dog bed and lay her head on him and he beats his tail up and down.

Now, let me add this: Rubye Ann loves Mocha as well and Mocha loves her too, just in a different way. A wet, slobbery way. Rubye Ann is getting better at accepting Mocha's affection though.

Well, summer is now here, which means my posts will harder to get done. The toddler is keeping me quite busy what with all the chasing....
Speaking of chasing, she was chasing her brothers in the driveway the other day, got to goin' a bit too fast and this happened:

That little epsiode pretty much ruined the rest of the evening for her..and me!! LOL LOL

Here is what we have been up to the last few days: Our neighbors found a newborn kitten that the mama abaondoned on Saturday. I said I would take care of it until after the Holiday weekend and take it to the vet on Tuesday. So, I have been a foster mom for this kitten. The kids love her to death....I have an appt. to take her to the vet this afternoon....this should be interesting....lol

This set of pictures from April got lost with all of the Easter posts....One evening, the boys of the neighborhood found a nice mud hole in the back corner of one of the three yards that meet up. After they discovered the hole and the mud, it was ON!!!

Here's the gang....J, M, Coop and Big D.. They had themselves a big, ole messy time...
They romped, laughed, jumped, splattered and smeared...then it was time to clean off.

There was absoutely no way on God's green earth that I was letting my filthy little mud monkeys in the house like that. So...Jamie hosed them down outside. Can I just say that the water was c-o-l-d?!?!? I never could catch a picture of Coop's face during this but trust me when I say he was not at all pleased with the situation!!

Neither was Davis....

While Jamie was hosing them off, we kept asking why they weren't laughing anymore....

Last week, I got a touch of summer fever and bought a sprinkler for the kids to play in. We hooked it up one day after nap time.
I can't think of anything catchy here...but I really like the look of this picture...

Bragging Mommy....

Every May Cooper's school does what they call the "Cougar Mile". It's part of the Presidential Physical Fitness....thing. Anyway, they get ready for this all year long. They practice in P.E. At the end of the year who ever wants to participate can.
First, they warm up and stretch...

It is divided into Presidential Time which is about a mile in 10 minutes and National Time which is about 15 minutes (I think..). So, here comes the bragging part....Cooper made Presidential Time....he ran a mile in 8 minutes 55 seconds....I hope I have all that right!!! I can't even begin to tell you how P-R-O-U-D he is of his gold medal...

Last weekend we had a neighborhood crawfish boil. Fun was had by all.

We even had crawfish battles...

The Easter Bunny did in fact make it to our house. SHE hid eggs in the dark, AND got rained on. POOR, POOR Easter Bunny!!

The weather was awful. Kids had to wear coats again!!! Seriously, I can only think of one Easter when the kids didn't have to put coats on to hunt. Davis was very cold. Evidently, too cold to even bother with getting any stinkin' eggs. Look at 'em in the picture. Right there in front of him.....

Didn't take her very long to get the hang of it..
