It's tee-ball time!!!!!! Our first game was last night and it was extra fun becasue Big D got to play this year! He was so proud and thought he was big stuff! These are not the best pics..but there are so many I'm going to have to post them over a few days! The best ones of each will follow in the coming days..so be sure to check in! Davis was excited about playing but I think he was most excited about wearing his "cweats" (cleats). This season should be really fun for Cooper. His best buddies are on the team with him! Our league (Ruston Dixie) has a draft so we got to hand pick our players! I told Jamie when he went that we HAD to have Mason, Noah, and Grant on the team. If anyone remembers Cooper's b-day party, Grant is the one who yelled "Cannonball" everytime he went down the slide.

What a little ham! I've been debating since I got up this morning if I was going to put this little story on the blog or not. See, it sorta makes fun of a certain someone in this household. I kept going back and forth about it and finally decided that it's just too funny not to share! And besides I've made fun of myself several times on here already...funny mistakes are blog fodder!
On Rubye Ann's bath night the routine is that Jamie dresses her in jammies after I bathe her and then he feeds her and puts her to bed. So last night was bath night. She gets bathed, dressed and then fed. I'm sitting at the computer reading a funny story and laughing out loud about it, when suddenly I hear Jamie say "Ok this really isn't funny, but I forgot to put her diaper on and she's tee teeing all over me. (I'm laughing so hard right now it's hard to type) I guess I'll just let her finish."Then he just sat there and let her finish. I was laughing so hard I couln't breathe. HE was soaked.
How does one forget to put a diaper on a baby?!??!?! You would think that after the third kid it would be old hat by now! Man, my sides hurt from laughing. Of course we had to change her and him! Her little jammies barely had any wet on them but Jamie's shirt was sticking to him it was so wet. He couldn't even stand up straight! HILARIOUS!!! He just walked through and I told him I was sharing his story. He says, "Oh I'm sure you are!" LOL

On Saturday morning, Jamie and I made the exceutive decision to go and get us a new lawn mower.....we didn't want some ho hum little push mower....we wanted a BIG 'UN!!! So we loaded up the family and we headed off to Sears. (That alone was sort of a production.....since we had to take two cars! LOL). We arrived home with a "gem" of a tractor.....or so we thought!
We were all so excited (that's how it is in Smallville, USA..everyone gets excited over a new lawn tractor!) I even got on and Jamie showed me how to use it....you know so I could give the kids rides on it. Surely nobody thought I would actually MOW with it!!!! LOL LOL Anyway, I had a bit of trouble getting used to the feel of it...at one point Jamie even said "Boys go inside, Mama's having some trouble!" It's that clutch thing.....oh well.(You have to get the mental image here: me letting off the clutch too fast and the mower flying forward so fast my head snaps back and then in reaction to that me slamming my foot back down and lurching forward over the steering wheel...FUNNY STUFF!!!) I finally got the hang of it and gave each kid a swing around the yard. Then Jamie got on and was ready to cut our grass. He spent about 30 minutes on it cutting the front and the backyard and then.........................the blade quit cutting! WHAT?!?!?!??! A brand new lawn tractor hot off the showroom floor and it quits?!?!?!?!? Just our luck.....so jamie heads back to Sears and they ended up giving us our money back. They were real nice about it..sort of shocked like we were. So anyway, we were the pround owners of a red craftsman lawn tractor for all of about 5 hours on Saturday.
What a cutie!

You know, some days I struggle with what to write on the blog. Then other days blog material just falls into my lap....this is one of those times! First of all, you have to understand that when odd accidents happen, they happen to Davis. Poor kid. Yesterday afternoon I was sitting at the computer (checking out EBay, no doubt) and Davis comes in whimpering. This is an evveryday occurance so I really didn't pay it much thought. He kept trying to tell me about the tractor falling over. He was so whiney and his words were so chopped up and he kept starting over in his explanation that it was all but impossible to understand what he was saying. So I said "Davis just show Mommy what happened." So he leads me to the back yard and this is what I see...............
My first reaction was shock...........then........as any good Mommy does...I started laughing! Mind you, I still haven't gotten the story about what happened. I'm thinking he pushed it over with his hands , because he has done that before. So I asked and he tells me HE WAS DRIVING IT when it fell over! I'm sure my eyes got rather wide at that moment. all I could think was how in the world did that battery not fall on his head?!?!!?(it's the blue box to the left of the tractor in the above picture) After he told me he was driving it I looked at the back of his shirt and sure enough there were the signs of a child who had been laid out on the ground! I'm still shaking my head about the whole thing! That battery was litterally ripped out. It totally separated from the connector. He must have been movin' on that thing! The only thing he was worried about......."Mommy is there dog poopie in my hair?"

When we were getting out of the car this morning I told Davis to be sure and close the car door before he came in the house. Well, after I got Rubye Ann in and went to get Davis some clothes I noticed he wasn't in yet. I went to the back door which was still open and looked out...the van door was still open too. I thought surely he is not still in there. I went to look and he wasn't in there but the CAT was! I looked around....no Davis. I looked some more and noticed the bike was also gone! He was so excited to practice riding he just bailed out of the car and jumped on the bike.....he still had his jammies on!!! this kid is pumped!

I'm going to Targe' today with Mollie. I'm sure everyone remembers what happened the last time we were in Targe'......wonder what is in store for today!?!?! I'm almost scared to go!! HA HA HA

Well, we made it back from PB. We had a fun time. Cooper and Davis got to play with cousins Spencer and Reese on Friday. Then on Saturday, they got to play with their buddy Grey. They had a busy weekend. Last week Rubye Ann decided she wanted to listen to book time too, so......... she was WIDE EYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think she liked it, she sat very still and very quietly, which is something b/c this kid is a squiggly, noisy little thing! I like the last picture......big 'ol Uncle Andy and tiny little Rubye Ann..

Davis and I made cookies the other day. You may notice that I have a REAL bag of chocolate chips for us to use and not the fake ones from the health food store. I felt pretty saucy the other day and let him have a Hershey Kiss and he loved it and DID NOT have a reaction! The next day I gave him.....hold on to your hat.....GOLDFISH!!!! He thought he was something else! He said "They are so good Mama!" That made me a little sad for him. Anyway, maybe this is turning point in all this food allergy stuff....we go to see the dr. again in May. He ate a bag of goldfish on the way to get Cooper from school yesterday and I told him to tell me if he starts to feel yucky. He said,"Don't worry about me Mama I not going to get a rash. I only get a rash from red icees now, not the coke ones Mama, the red ones."
So as he was mixing the batter for the cookies he kept asking if he could have some more "chawlket"....and he didn't even wait for me to answer just shoved that chubby hand down in there....
and gobbled it right up! After a while I kept saying "that's enough" he'd say " little bit more Mama"

Ok, so I thought the guru had the computer all fixed...I'm SURE he stayed up til the wee hours of the morning working on it......yeah whatever....anyway, when I turned it on this morning everything seemed fine! We usually don't turn the computer off at night....it just stays on, the guru thought that might be the problem. ANYWAY, it seemed to work just fine UNTIL it was time to upload the pics to the blog and then once again, problems. Fortunately though a quick re-booting solved that minor problem.....Sunday was Rubye Ann's first day in the church nursery....Jamie asked me "How do you think it will go?' I told him it was probley going to be a mele with little old ladies throwing sucker punches to see who gets their hands on the new baby first! LOL LOL.... It wasn't that bad.
Here's a pic that I like of Jamie and Davis with Rubye Ann. Cooper was more interested in Tom and Jerry on tv than being a part of yet another photo op!

Ok, so today's blog almost didn't happen! I really don't like this computer! I sat down at the normal time (dark thirty this morning) and the stupid thing was frozen up for the hundreth time since last week! I got the pleasure of looking at Jamie's LSU sports page for about 30 minutes before the darn thing would "wake up". THEN after all that the picture mate thingy would not download all the pics from this weekend! By the time the computer guru got up and got everything in working condition it was too late to do anything.....THEN as i finally sat down a few minutes ago the picture program kept telling me I was offline. Well, i happened to remember what the computer guru told me and I re-booted and here I am....FINALLY about 6 hours later! I told Jamie that I was about to throw this computer out the window. He said "throw it through the windows by the fireplace....they'd be easier to replace!" So, anyway, here are some cute pics.... the first pic is what I see Cooper do almost 50% of the time he's around Rubye Ann. He steals kisses whenever and wherever he can! Davis, always being the helper, told me her feet were cold. "Her tiny toes are cold Mama, so I gonna put her sockies on, ok Mama?"( I meat to leave out the 'm on the I b/c that is how he said it!) OK, for the last picture......Mama and Mrs. Ann just don't scroll down.....but you dog lovers...scroll away! LOL LOL LOL! Until tomorrow......that is if I haven't thrown the computer through the window!
